Marblehead Arts Association Announces Accepted Works for Variations 2025 Exhibit

The competition for the Marblehead Arts Association‘s Variations 2025 Exhibit was great, with more than 850 submissions.  I am thrilled to have two cityscape mosaics included in the show.  I look forward to seeing the show in the King Hooper Mansion, a celebrated North Shore venue in historic downtown Marblehead.  Variations 2025 will run from April 19 to June 14.

Opening Reception: Sunday, April 20th 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Duxbury Art Association Showcases Members’ Collections

In support of its artist members, the Duxbury Art Association is hosting collections of its members’ work at The Ellison Center for the Arts. Gratefully, I was selected to present some of my work in the current group.  I am including mosaic cityscapes of Boston. New York, and Italy as well as mosaic animal portraits and a school of fish.  A portion of sales supports the association’s work. Work may be viewed Dec 11 – Feb 29, 2024.

Woo hoo! Best in Show!

Was thrilled to be recognized by the Duxbury Art Association for Best in Show in the 105th Art by the Bay show. My submission, Monterosso al Mare, Cinque Terre, Italy is a mixed media mosaic cityscape of the town of Monterosso on the west coast of Italy that I visited in 2016. New England Mosaic Society 2019 Juried Exhibit opens in Marlborough June 1st

I have seen most of the work accepted to this juried exhibition and it is spectacular. I look forward to seeing it hung. A range of styles, materials, and subjects provide lots of eye candy for art lovers and makers. The Juried Exhibition 2019 runs June 1 – June 27, 2019 with a reception June 8, 3:00-5:30 pm.  My North End Boston cityscape was accepted to the show along with several salon pieces.

2018 NEMS Member Show Opens at Somerville Museum

The 2018 Member Exhibit of the New England Mosaic Society hosted a reception Sunday, Feb 25th to rave reviews and crowds.  Visitors to the opening witnessed an amazing variety of mosaics, some using traditional methods and materials, while others incorporated shells and materials from modern life.  My personal favorite was this triptych called Pondscape Dreams by created by Roberta Tobey-Gertz.
