2018 NEMS Member Show Opens at Somerville Museum

The 2018 Member Exhibit of the New England Mosaic Society hosted a reception Sunday, Feb 25th to rave reviews and crowds.  Visitors to the opening witnessed an amazing variety of mosaics, some using traditional methods and materials, while others incorporated shells and materials from modern life.  My personal favorite was this triptych called Pondscape Dreams by created by Roberta Tobey-Gertz.

Getting Ready for New England Mosaic Society Member Exhibition 2017

I am excited to participate in the New England Mosaic Society’s Member Exhibition to be held at the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, South Yarmouth, Massachusetts running September 20 – October 8, 2017.  The show was juried by two renowned mosaic artists, Carol Shelkin and Rachel Sager.  Two of my mosaic cityscapes are among the 30 pieces selected for the show.  Additionally, there will be a salon where members will offer selected works for sale at $300 or ...

ArtsWorcester Annual “One” Exhibit Opens Friday, June 16th

ArtsWorcester fifth annual One exhibit opens June 16, 2017 at the Aurora Gallery in Worcester with a reception from 6 – 8:30 pm.  The show runs through July 15, 2017 and features the favorite pieces of more than 130 member artists.  Roger Hankins, Director of the Cantor Gallery at Holy Cross College will select a number of pieces for cash awards.  The Aurora Gallery, built as a luxury residential hotel in 1897, is open during exhibitions Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays from 12-4 pm and is located at ...

New England Contemporary Craft exhibition includes 3 of my mosaic cityscapes

The Brookline Arts Center selected three of my cityscape mosaics for its upcoming New England juried exhibition, Contemporary Craft.  The show was juried by Lindsay Miś, Director of CraftBoston who has also worked at art institutions such as Haystack Mountain School of Crafts, Metalwerx, and The Visual Art Center of Richmond, VA.

Two mosaics accepted to Arts in Bloom show

I am excited to say that two of my mosaics will be showing in the annual juried Arts in Bloom show being held by the Hopkinton Center for the Arts. I dropped off my photo in Lowell yesterday for the upcoming exhibit called Alienation.  I was told that the jurors only accepted 40 pieces for the show and only 8 from Massachusetts.  I am looking forward to the reception on September 10th at the Loading Dock Gallery.  The gallery is very nice.  It’s in one of the old mill buildings that have been refurbished into art studios.  Hope to see you at the show!
